Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before requesting samples or placing a commercial order with GreenBean Indonesia.

Sample Policy

GreenBean Indonesia offers physical green bean samples (200–500g) to qualified buyers upon request, dispatched alongside a full lot data sheet detailing altitude, processing method, moisture content, screen size, and defect rate.

Sample fee: A sample fee is charged to cover international courier costs. The exact fee is confirmed via email before dispatch and varies by destination and courier rates at time of shipment.

Credit on first order: The full sample fee is credited against the buyer's first commercial order automatically — no additional claim required.

Eligibility: Samples are intended for commercial evaluation by roasters, importers, and wholesale buyers. GreenBean Indonesia reserves the right to decline sample requests at its discretion.

Sample requests are fulfilled within 3–5 business days of payment confirmation. Dispatch from Indonesia via international courier.

Export & Incoterm

FOB — Free On Board

All commercial shipments are offered on FOB (Free On Board) terms, departing from Semarang or Surabaya port, Indonesia. Risk and cost transfer to the buyer once goods are loaded on board.

The buyer is responsible for: ocean freight, cargo insurance, import duties, customs clearance at destination, and all costs after the point of loading.

GreenBean Indonesia provides all required export documentation with every commercial shipment: Phytosanitary Certificate, Certificate of Origin, Health Certificate, commercial invoice, packing list, and Bill of Lading.

Payment Terms

Payment terms are agreed per order and confirmed in writing before production or shipment commences.

Standard terms for first-time buyers: 50% deposit upon order confirmation, 50% balance prior to shipment. Revised terms may be offered to repeat buyers with an established relationship.

All prices are quoted in USD unless otherwise agreed. Accepted payment method: bank transfer (TT/wire transfer). All banking and currency conversion fees are the buyer's responsibility.

Quality & Claims

Every lot ships with a physical data sheet specifying: moisture content, defect rate, screen size, processing method, and altitude — measured at point of shipment.

Quality claims must be submitted in writing to business@greenbeanidn.com within 14 days of the buyer receiving the shipment. Claims must include photographic evidence, weight documentation, and where relevant, an independent third-party lab or cupping report.

Natural variation in cup profile between lots and harvests is inherent to specialty green coffee and does not constitute grounds for a quality claim. Buyers are strongly encouraged to evaluate samples before placing commercial orders.

Force Majeure

GreenBean Indonesia shall not be held liable for failure or delay in fulfilling obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control — including natural disasters, harvest failure, port closures, shipping disruptions, or government regulations.

In any such event, GreenBean Indonesia will notify the buyer promptly in writing and work in good faith toward a resolution — which may include revised timelines, partial fulfilment, or order cancellation with refund of any deposit paid.

Governing Law

These terms and any disputes arising from transactions with GreenBean Indonesia are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
